How to make basic raita for biryani [Instant]

A simple Raita Recipe- an Pakistani/Indian yogurt sauce with coriander leaves and mint. Serve this with spicy  dishes to help cool the palate.

Ingredients :


  • Yogurt (Dahi) - 1 Cup
  • Green Coriander (Hara Dhania) - 1 Tbsp
  • Mint leaves (Posing) - few
  • Green Chili (Hari Mirch) - 1
  • Garlic (Lehsun) - 1 Clove (optional)
  • Salt (Namak) - ½ Tsp
  • Chat masala - 1 pinch
  • Black Pepper Powder (Pisi Kali Mirch) - 1 Pinch.

Direction :


  • Wash coriander leaves, mint leaves and green chili. Dry roast cumin and cool it and grind.
  • In a blender jar add green chili, garlic clove, green coriander, mint leaves and salt. Add 1-2 spoon water if required.
  • Now give a good blend and mix with the yogurt.
  • Take it out in a bowl.
  • Sprinkle black pepper powder and chat masala and give it a good mix.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve:


  • Now raita is ready for serving. Serve with biryani, pulao and kababs.
