Roghni naan is traditional Pakistani flat bread cooked in tandoor. This is a popular bread recipe made with main ingredients flour, ghee, yeast and milk.

You can serve this traditional flat bread hot with popular curries, chicken recipes and also with fish.

Tips?


  • After making mixture of yeast and milk must leave for 20-30 mins. 
  • Make soft and smooth dough. Add water if required.
  • Make sure oven is preheated before baking.
  • The right temperature and time is very important to soften naan.
  • Marks on the naan should be deep.

How to make? 


Ingredients:


  • All purpose flour - 2 cups
  • instant yeast - 2 tsp
  • Slightly warm milk
  • butter, melted - 1 cup
  • Curd - 1tbs
  • Sugar - 1teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds

Direction:


  1. Dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm milk and leave it for 20-30 minutes.
  2. Sift flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Add butter and mix well. 
  3. Add yogurt and yeast mixture and set aside 30 mins.
  4. Knead to make a soft and smooth dough. Add water if required.
  5. Preheat oven to 350 C.
  6. Make small equal balls out of the dough and roll into the shape of naan.
  7. Prick it with a fork and brush with leftover milk.
  8. Sprinkle sesame seeds over them.
  9. Bake, in the preheated oven, for 6 - 8 minutes.
  10. Remove from the oven. Brush with butter and again bake another 2 minutes or until done.
  11.  Roghni naan is ready to serve.
  12. Serve with curries and vegetables.
